URHOBO PROGRESS UNION (UPU) — AGBON KINGDOM (YOUTH WING) SET TO HOLD ITS MAIDEN CONVENTION

I am deeply honored to announce that I have been appointed by the President of the AGBON KINGDOM (YOUTH WING) of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Comrade Alfred Obarakpor, to serve as the Chairman, Central Organising Committee for the upcoming maiden convention of our great kingdom.

This appointment came to me as a pleasant surprise especially considering that I have never met the President in person. However, I have followed his commendable works on social media, and I have great respect for his vision and dedication. I was informed that my name emerged after wide consultations among key stakeholders.

It is said that "where two or three are gathered, the spirit of God is present." The fact that people deliberated, and my name was mentioned, recommended, and confirmed for this critical role is something I humbly accept as the will of God. I embrace this responsibility with gratitude, commitment, and a deep sense of purpose.

This convention is historic—the very first of its kind.

Our global Youth President of UPU, Activist Ughere Blessed, saw the future clearly and took bold steps to establish Youth Wing structures across all Urhobo kingdoms. Today, Agbon Kingdom proudly stands out, taking a major leap forward as we prepare to host this groundbreaking event.

The maiden convention will be held at the Ultra-Modern Town Hall, Eku, on December 19th, 2025. It promises to be a defining moment for our youth, our culture, and the collective future of Agbon Kingdom.
