Public Commendation of the Kokori Progress Union (KPU)

I have always considered myself a man of simple needs, content with what God has given me. It may not seem like much to some, but it is enough for me.

My interest in politics is not born out of ambition, but from the deep concern I carry about the attitude of our political class. Their lack of empathy affects the productivity of those of us in the private sector. By 2026, due to the current APC/Tinubu administration’s policies, middle-class earners will face heavier tax burdens—yet this same government has failed to stimulate the economy with meaningful grants or accessible loans for struggling citizens. Instead of empowering the poor, they are squeezing the very people sustaining themselves through hard work.

This is why I pay attention to governance. If leaders perform well, we would gladly step back and focus solely on building, producing, and thriving. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing systems work the way they should.

Over the years, I have watched the Kokori Progress Union (KPU) and I must say they have demonstrated genuine commitment to community development. From organizing conferences to address local challenges, to creating job opportunities, to recently commissioning the KPU Secretariat, their dedication is evident.

Now, they are introducing a more robust and accessible banking system to Kokori, a development that will greatly benefit the people.

For these reasons, I wish to publicly commend the Kokori Progress Union for their consistent effort, vision, and impact.
